This is an incredibly difficult and unprecedented time for Jamaica. Hurricane Melissa, now recorded as the most destructive hurricane in Atlantic history, has left families displaced, homes destroyed, and communities struggling to rebuild. Amid this devastation, our children and young athletes at P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy are facing unimaginable challenges yet their spirit, courage, and hope remain unbroken.
At P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy, we provide community basketball programs that serve hundreds of youth across Jamaica, offering more than just training we provide housing, transportation, nutrition, and mentorship. For many of our players, basketball isn’t just a game; it’s a pathway to education, discipline, and opportunity.
But right now, our facilities are damaged, our dorms and training spaces have been hit hard, and many of our young athletes’ homes have been destroyed. Returning to normalcy will mean restoring their safe spaces to live, train, and dream.
We know there are many causes seeking help during this national crisis, but we humbly ask that you consider supporting our efforts to rebuild hope for these young lives.
Your donations will help us:
🏀 Rebuild dorms, courts, and community spaces
💧 Provide clean water, food, and shelter for affected families
⚡ Restore power and essential supplies for recovery
You can make a donation through our DonorBox campaign:
Or contribute directly to our U.S. charitable partner Children for Change in Miami, FL (tax-deductible for U.S. donors):
In addition to funds, we urgently need generators, tarps, tools, and building materials to rebuild our dorms and restore basic infrastructure.
To all our friends, families, and partners around the world — thank you for standing with us during this heartbreaking time. Together, we can help our children rise from this storm stronger than ever.
