70 games. 73 athletes. Six age groups. A season of performances worth recognising.

Across 70 games against 62 opponents, P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy Jamaica’s athletes scored 2,626 points and gained valuable experience representing the programme in international competition.

Behind those totals were individual achievements: scoring performances, defensive efforts, rebounding records and opportunities created for teammates. Our 2026 statistical leaders series celebrates those contributions across the academy.

The season leaderboards bring athletes from different age groups together. The rankings below refer to the academy’s combined season statistics, while the Player of the Year awards recognise winners within their respective age categories.

Two Players Share the Scoring Lead

Jordan Anderson and Lebron Lewinson finished tied with 185 points, sharing the academy’s season scoring lead.

Jordan accumulated his total across 20 games while also leading the academy in rebounds. Lebron reached 185 points in 15 games and finished at the top of two additional categories: assists and three-pointers made.

Their seasons demonstrated different ways of influencing a game—finishing possessions, creating scoring opportunities and contributing beyond the points column.

Maliki Payne Leads in Scoring Average

Maliki Payne averaged 15.7 points per game, the highest scoring average on the season leaderboard. He recorded 110 points in seven games and also led in three-pointers per game at 1.9.

Maliki’s season included the academy’s highest individual scoring performance: 31 points against NJ Beasts on July 10.

Adam Lawrence followed with 15.1 points per game, scoring 121 points in eight appearances.

Jordan Anderson Leads the Rebounding Table

Jordan added 102 rebounds to his joint-leading scoring total, making him the academy’s season rebounding leader.

Kamar Evans and Romeo Smith each recorded 88 rebounds. Kamar also delivered the season’s highest single-game rebounding performance, collecting 21 against The City on July 17.

Those numbers recognise the work required to finish defensive possessions and create additional opportunities on offence.

Lebron Lewinson Leads in Assists and Threes

Lebron finished with 64 assists and 25 three-pointers made, leading both categories.

His ability to create for teammates was also reflected in the single-game record book: nine assists against Team BISS on July 18. Devin Reid was a close second in per game average with an outstanding 4.0 assists per game. Adam Lawrence recorded 29 assists in eight games, averaging 3.6 per game, third overall on the season leaderboard.

Shamario Dawson Sets the Standard in Steals

Shamario Dawson led the academy with 44 steals and 3.4 steals per game.

His defensive production included a season single-game record of nine steals against PA Legends on July 18.

Maliki also ranked prominently, averaging 2.9 steals per game, second overall. Together, these performances highlight the impact of defensive pressure and creating extra possessions.

Efficiency Deserves Recognition

Adam Lawrence led the free-throw percentage leaderboard at 92.9%, adding accuracy at the line to his scoring and playmaking contributions. Oral Daley was mister efficient with an academy leading 56.7% field goal percentage. Legacy Johnson made his mark in his first season in P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy by leading all long distance shooters with a 34.8% three pont field goal percentage.

Kamar Evans shot 55.3% from the field, second overall, while recording 24 blocks, also second on the season leaderboard.

These figures add context to the scoring totals, recognising efficient finishing and contributions around the basket.

The Work Behind the Numbers

These awards also recognise the people who made accurate season records possible.

Karcia Beezer oversaw the film and statistics for all 70 games, watching, managing and breaking down footage to document performances across the academy. Athletes and parents also contributed to the film-charting process.

That work gives our players a record of their development and helps ensure contributions across age groups receive recognition.

Support That Made the Season Possible

We thank Tari Eason and the Tari Eason Foundation for helping make this season possible. Their support helped the academy return to training and competition after Hurricane Melissa and helped young athletes access international travel opportunities.
