This event marked the thrilling opening of the first-ever prep basketball season in Jamaica. The excitement was palpable, as the teams geared up to showcase their talent to not just their local community but to a much wider audience, including college scouts hungry for the next basketball sensation.

Building Strength in Unity

Preparation for this momentous event was intense. The players, aged 14 to 19, were divided into regional pods in Kingston and Montego Bay. This regional setup not only allowed for personalized training but also fostered camaraderie and unity among the players. This unity would prove invaluable when they came together at the P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy National Training Center, strategically located at GC Foster College and Montego Bay Community College. Here, they trained tirelessly, polishing their skills and understanding of the game, ensuring that they were ready to face the toughest of challenges. Coach Wayne Dawkins and Coach Dave Black have been at the helm, guiding the young talent through every drill, play, and strategy. With a wealth of experience and an eye for nurturing raw talent, these coaches are instrumental in shaping these young athletes into the future stars of Jamaican basketball.

Post-Grad, Varsity, and Jr. Varsity Teams: A Multifaceted Approach
