Jamaica’s basketball future is bright—and now you can be part of history by helping it grow.
This summer, P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy Jamaica is set to facilitate over 400 youth across 13 youth basketball clubs in the first ever year-round grassroots basketball league in the country. With children and teens ages 6 to 21 participating in competitive games, showcases, and tournaments, this program is giving structure, mentorship, and athletic development to young athletes who’ve never had consistent access to this kind of opportunity before.
But we can’t do it alone.
That’s why we’ve launched the Adopt a Youth Club initiative—an exciting way for donors and sponsors to directly support one of Jamaica’s youth teams and make an immediate, meaningful difference.

Why This Matters
Summertime is often the most dangerous time for youth—school is out, boredom sets in, and negative influences are everywhere. That’s where sports—and community—step in.
Through our club system, young Jamaicans not only stay active, but also gain access to:
Certified coaching
Mentorship
Life skills training
Increased exposure to scholarships and international travel opportunities
And with the recent momentum of Jamaican athletes in the NBA, including Norman Powell, Amen & Ausar Thompson, and Scottie Barnes—interest in basketball has never been higher.
Now’s the time to act.
What’s Needed
Each club needs basic equipment and funding to operate safely and effectively. Items can be donated in-kind or sponsored with a financial gift. The total estimated cost to adopt one club is $3,425 USD.
🔧 Needs Include:
Uniforms – $500
Sneakers – $600
Basketballs (boys/girls) – $200
Coolers & Water Bottles – $150
First Aid Kits – $75
Training Equipment – $150
Transportation Fees – $800
Court Rentals – $400
Referee Fees – $300
Insurance – $250
When you adopt a club, you’ll be introduced to the players and coaches, get updates throughout the summer, and be recognized as a partner helping shape Jamaica’s future—one team at a time.
