Inside the Top 50: Elite1 Caribbean Basketball Recruiting Scouting Report
The rankings introduced the names. Now we go deeper.
The inaugural 2026 Jamaican Top 100 Global Prospects brings together the next generation of Jamaican basketball talent developing on the island and throughout the diaspora.
This first scouting release from Elite1 Caribbean Basketball Recruiting focuses on the Top 50 prospects from the initial evaluation completed in August 2026.
Every prospect included in the inaugural pool was 21 years old or younger at the time of the August evaluation and met the Jamaican prospect criteria established for the project.
This feature, however, is not intended to replace the rankings platform.
The rankings platform is where coaches, athletes, families and basketball followers can explore the complete Top 100, additional ranking categories and future updates as players continue to develop.
Here, the focus is scouting.
Who are the prospects? What are their strengths? What experience have they accumulated? What should coaches look for when evaluating them?
And most importantly, there is film.
The Top 50 scouting reports are accompanied by individual ranking and highlight videos, allowing coaches to move directly from the written evaluation to watching the prospect.
#1 ANTOINE DAYE

Daye is a long 6'10" forward with significant defensive value as a rim protector and interior presence. His length allows him to alter shots around the basket, while his mobility gives him the ability to run the floor extremely well for his size.
Offensively, Daye has good hands and provides a major vertical target. He can finish above the rim with power, catch lobs and become especially dangerous when running in transition.
Daye represented Jamaica at the U17 level in 2023 and played with P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy before continuing his development in the United States. His progression has included selection to the NBA Top 100 Camp and significant recruiting attention.

#2 ROMAREO MILLIS

Millis is a physical, tough wing with positional size and the ability to impact the game on the glass. He is a strong rebounder who combines his physicality with shooting range, allowing him to contribute both around the basket and from the perimeter.
His development has included Jamaican national-program experience and extensive competition with P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy. Millis has committed to continue his basketball career at Lake Land College in Illinois.

#3 MARCUS McDONALD
PG · 6'3" · Class of 2026 · Phoenix, Arizona
Marcus McDonald enters the 2026 rankings with one of the most advanced international résumés in the Jamaican prospect pool.
A skilled scoring guard with an advanced handle, McDonald can create separation, generate his own offense off the dribble and consistently put pressure on defenses. He combines shot creation with playmaking ability and has continued developing his perimeter game against increasingly higher levels of competition.
McDonald's experience representing Jamaica stretches from the youth national-team level to the senior men's program. At the 2023 Centrobasket U17 Championship, he averaged 14.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.8 steals per game across five games. He led Jamaica in assists and steals while finishing second on the team in scoring.
His development subsequently took him into the senior national-team program. McDonald competed in the 2025 FIBA Basketball World Cup Americas Pre-Qualifiers before appearing in all six games of Jamaica's 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup Americas Qualifying campaign. He averaged 5.8 points during the six qualifiers while shooting 46.7% from the field and 37.5% from three.
McDonald delivered his biggest senior international performance to date in Jamaica's final qualifier against Canada on July 6, 2026, scoring 19 points in 21 minutes on 8-for-17 shooting, including three three-pointers.
The next step in his development will come at the NCAA level. McDonald is listed on the University of New Orleans 2026–27 men's basketball roster as a freshman point guard, giving the #3-ranked Jamaican prospect an opportunity to continue his progression in Division I college basketball.

#4 KASIYAH HILL

Hill brings unusual size to the guard position at 6'5" and combines it with significant scoring ability. He can knock down the three, create offense off the bounce and score from the mid-range. His athleticism also allows him to attack and finish at the basket, giving him legitimate three-level scoring ability.
Hill competed with P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy Jamaica at the AAU Nationals at Disney World in 2024. His combination of size, athleticism and guard skill creates significant upside.

#5 TRISTON McDONALD

McDonald combines perimeter shooting and playmaking with good positional length. He can shoot from deep range and create offense for himself and teammates, while his length gives him tools that can translate defensively.
His Jamaican national-team experience began at a young age and has continued through multiple age groups, including representing Jamaica at the U17 CentroBaskets in 2023 and the U20 level in 2026.

#6 KAMAR EVANS

Evans is an ultra-athletic, long 6'8" forward with legitimate two-way tools. Defensively, his length and athleticism make him a strong rim protector, shot blocker and interior defender.
Offensively, Evans has very good hands, finishes above the rim and provides a major lob target. He runs the floor extremely well and has shown good touch from the mid-range along with the ability to extend his game to the three-point line.
Evans has spent several years with P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy and has accumulated significant international competition experience through major circuits including MADE Hoops and Alliance.

#7 D'MARLEY ELLIOTT

Elliott is a big, strong and physical wing who plays with toughness at both ends. He can score from the mid-range, use his strength in the post and becomes particularly effective when running the floor in transition.
His defensive transition effort also stands out. Elliott competes hard getting back into plays and has shown the ability to recover for chase-down blocks and stops at the rim.
He represented Jamaica at the U17 level in 2023 and has secured an opportunity to continue his basketball career at the collegiate level.

Weir sees the floor well and possesses the strength and physical tools to become an effective on-ball defender. He competed with P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy on the MADE Hoops circuit in 2025.

Lewinson is a powerful left-handed guard with extensive experience within P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy and the Jamaican basketball development system.
Strong, quick and explosive, he can score from three and the mid-range while also creating opportunities for teammates. His physical tools give him considerable defensive potential in the open floor.
Lewinson has been part of P.H.A.S.E. 1's development system since its early years in Jamaica and has represented the country in 3x3 competition, including the U23 level, as well as Jamaica's U20 5-on-5 National Team in 2026.

Holness is a big 6'6" left-handed guard who combines positional size with scoring ability. He can knock down the three, score from the mid-range and use his size to get to the basket effectively. He also runs the floor well, making him a threat in transition.

#13 MALIKI PAYNE

Payne is one of the more naturally gifted young scorers in the prospect pool. He can score in a variety of ways, finishing off one or two feet, creating from the mid-range and generating offense from the perimeter.
His handle is advanced for his age and allows him to create scoring opportunities in tight spaces. Payne is also an extremely competitive young guard.
He competed with P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy at the 2026 MADE Hoops Global Games in Springfield and on the MADE Hoops circuit during summer 2026.

Lawrence was one of the standouts on P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy's U13 team during its semifinal run at the 2026 MADE Hoops Global Games and also competed on the MADE Hoops circuit during summer 2026.

Leadership is a major part of his value. Patterson is vocal, competitive and capable of leading through both communication and example.
