🏀 P.H.A.S.E.1 Academy Jamaica is thrilled to announce our Spring/Summer Club Schedule for the 2024 basketball travel season! This season is packed with exciting opportunities for boys aged 13-19 from Jamaica and Jamaican descent players in the USA. With a lineup of tournaments, NCAA-sanctioned events, camps, and showcases both in the United States and Jamaica, we are set for a season of growth, competition, and unforgettable experiences.
Season Kickoff: Tune-Up Tournaments in Miami
Our journey begins with tune-up tournaments in Miami, Florida, scheduled for May and June. These events will serve as a crucial warm-up, allowing our teams to fine-tune their strategies and build cohesion as we prepare for more competitive tournaments later in the season.
Major NCAA Sanctioned Event: AAU Nationals at Disney World
Following the tune-up tournaments, we are excited to participate in our first major NCAA-sanctioned event: the AAU Nationals at Disney World in Orlando. This prestigious tournament will provide our players with the opportunity to showcase their skills on a grand stage, competing against some of the best teams from across the country.
Returning to Jamaica: Jamrockerz Rising Stars Camp
After our stint in Orlando, we will return to Jamaica for the Jamrockerz Rising Stars Camp. This camp will focus on developing our players' skills, fostering teamwork, and preparing them for the upcoming challenges in the season. It’s a fantastic opportunity for local talent to shine and for our players to continue their growth in a familiar environment.
On the Road Again: Illinois and Georgia
Post-camp, our journey takes us back to the United States, where we will compete in tournaments in Illinois and Georgia. These events will further challenge our players, providing them with diverse competition and the chance to gain valuable experience on the road.
Season Finale: Major Local Tournament in Montego Bay
The season will culminate with our first major local tournament at **Montego Bay Community College** from August 16-18. This event will feature several teams from the United States and Canada, bringing high-level competition to Jamaica. It's an exciting opportunity for our players to perform in front of a home crowd and for the local community to witness top-tier basketball.
Setting the Stage for a Historic Season
As the first Jamaican travel team to join AAU events, we are proud to set the stage for what promises to be a historic season. With 150 members and 6 travel teams, P.H.A.S.E.1 Academy Jamaica is ready to represent Jamaica on the international stage. We are dedicated to providing our players with the best opportunities to develop their skills, gain exposure, and compete at the highest levels.
