This exciting event is a critical initiative to support our upcoming season. The funds generated will directly benefit our dedicated athletes by contributing to their upcoming trips, covering uniform fees, and ensuring our academy's continued excellence through the payment of registration fees. Why We're Doing It:
The Free Throw Shoot-a-Thon is not just a fun and competitive event; it's a vital fundraising initiative designed to directly benefit our athletes. The funds raised from this event will go towards:
1. Athlete Trips: Enabling our athletes to participate in regional and national events, where they can showcase their skills and gain valuable exposure.
2. Uniform Fees: Ensuring that every athlete has access to high-quality uniforms, promoting a sense of unity and pride in representing P.H.A.S.E. 1 Academy.
3. Academy Registration Fees: Covering the costs associated with our academy's operations, facilities, and coaching staff, to provide the best possible training and support.
Overview of the Rules:
Here's an overview of how the Free Throw Shoot-a-Thon will work:
Date and Location: The event will take place during your regional Pod training sessions from October 9th to October 13th.
Supervision: Each shooting session will be supervised by a dedicated member of our coaching staff to ensure a fair and safe competition.
Shooting Location: Athletes will shoot from the standard free throw line, which is 15 feet (4.57 meters) from the basket.
Shots: Athletes will have a set number of free throws to attempt, and we encourage them to do their best to make as many shots as possible.
Scoring: Athletes will earn points based on their successful free throws. These points will directly contribute to the funds raised for our cause.
